Gavie Chahal is an Indian actor and model, who mainly works in Hindi and Punjabi films. He is known for playing the role of Captain Abrar (an ISI agent) in the Hindi film series ‘Ek Tha Tiger.’
Gavie Chahal was born as Navdeepak Singh Chahal on Saturday, 11 November 1978 (age 45 years; as of 2023) in Village Ali Sher Khurd, Tehsil & District Mansa, Punjab, India. His zodiac sign is Scorpio. Up to class 7, he studied in a school in his village. His family then shifted to Patiala, where he completed his schooling.

His father, Gurdev Singh Chahal, was a retired principal, who passed away on 18 November 2017. His mother, Daljit Kaur, worked as a teacher. He has two sisters, and one of his sisters’ name is Sarabjeet Kaur.

Every year on 2 February, he celebrates his marriage anniversary. His son, Fateh Singh, worked as a child actor in the Hindi film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha.’

In 2000, he participated in the Mr Punjab pageant and won the title. He then appeared in various print advertisements and photoshoots of brands like Volkswagen, Tata Motors, Gili Diamonds, Prestige, Radio Mirchi, and IDBI Bank. He has appeared in TV commercials for various brands like Hyundai Santro, Classic Diamond Jewellers, and Axis Bank.
In the early 2000s, he made his Punjabi music video debut with the song “Jattan De Putt Sadhu Ho Gaye.” He has appeared in more than 60 Punjabi music videos including “Aaja Tujhe Pyar Karu” (2017; by Shakti Rajpoot & Neha Sharma), “Kissani Yodhe” (2021; by Gavie Chahal), and “Escobar” (2022; by Jaggi Amargarh).

In 2005, he made his Punjabi film debut with ‘Yaaran Naal Baharan’ in which he played the role of Deep’s friend.
