Biography
Samuell Benta is a BAME director, writer and actor for television and film. He created, wrote, directed and starred in his family comedy All About the McKenzies which was commissioned by ITV as a broadcast pilot for ITV2. The show was based on Samuell’s web series All About the McKenzies which ran for three seasons comprising 20 episodes and was acquired for broadcast on London Live. He also directed his comedy pilot The He Said She Said Show and drama Perceptions. Most recently, Samuell directed a documentary for CBBC (currently on iPlayer) and will be shadowing on EastEnders later this summer. In addition to acting in his own productions, Samuell has appeared in a number of high profile dramas such as EastEnders E20, Silent Witness, The Cut and Hotel Babylon and Power Rangers Operation Overdrive. Being an actor, he has a deep understanding and unique ability to draw the best performances from artists. He likes to show the truth in human relations with what he films and provoking an audience to think with a twist of inspiration.
